Any body bought this CF front lip from eBay?

Saw this :
http://www.ebay.com/itm/08-11-BMW-E8...8ea90c&vxp=mtr

Wondering the fitment and look. And I guess ModBBBBargain is selling exactly the same thing.

I bought one from him. It arrive promptly and in good condition, boxed in light weight 1/8" plywood box. The fit was OK though there was a small gap on the top passenger side. Used some black caulk to fill the crack and it looks good.

Hi,

Thanks for posting this question and the above reply. I'm looking at the same lip. Can anyone tell me how much of the center front portion does the lip cover? Halfway up the front leading edge?

Thanks!

RW Carbon makes one that fits properly. It's about the same price I believe. I'd just go with that.

How did you install it? Did it require drilling into the bumper?

Here are some close-ups. Attached with 4 screws on either side and I used 3M tape for the center. You can see the caulk, black Sherwin-Williams , on the passenger side and center. Noticeable close up but from normal viewing distance hardly noticeable. For a part that is sure to be damaged sometime in the hopefully distant future I can't see spending much more than this.

Thanks for posting those close up pictures.

It's exactly the same as the RW Carbon one. They probably get it from the same source.

The m0d-barga!ns one sounds like an iCarbon replica with their installation instructions...

Too bad the ebay link jacked up their price to $399. It was originally $279 or something...

The eBay one is $50 cheaper.

Demn I'd buy it with no shilly-shally if it's anywhere below $300.

Per installation instructions in the m0d-barga!ns website, it says:
Quote:
- Secured to bumper via 3M double sided tape
- One screw is required on each side to secure the lip
Link: http://www.modbarga!ns.com/ModBarga!...2-E88-135i.htm
-- Please replace "!" with "i"

The iCarbon one is mounted that way.

On the other hand, RW Carbon and the ebay one (from what user "gap" is saying), doesn't use this method but drilling your own screws into the bumper type of install.

I won't be surprised if the m0d-barga!ns one is the exact same way as RW Carbon or the ebay one in terms of mounting methodology to be honest... If that's the case, then all 3 of them are probably getting the lip from the same source...

Ours are a little more expensive, but they are all made by our factory and to higher quality standards. In addition to that we quality control each and every piece before they ship out of our Pomona CA facility and are all backed by our fitment and quality guarantee.

Please feel free to PM me if anyone has any questions. I have these in stock

RW Carbon

Hi,
is there any chance of getting a close up on the middle part of the lip? that part that channels the air to the IC, does it sit flush with the bumper lip?

Just sent them an email telling them to list it for 279. They are full of sh!t trying to charge 399.99 for a replica.

Update: Seller responded saying 'We're out of stock, which is the reason we raised the price to thwart off buyers. We'll have more soon, and will reduce the price at that time'
