in my area i often spot older drivers in 650i, 535i, x6, 400e-class or a8 4,2 cars sporting fake badges

dont know whats the point in this - non-enthusiasts dont care anyway and most of us can tell the version of a car just by the exhaust

I think M badges on non M cars are lame. If you want an M badge on your car: work harder, buy an M car.
But you shouldn't insult someone or whatever because of it. Maybe he just likes it that way so leave him.
