335i sold 135i performance pack on way
well sold the 335i today and collecting the 135i on sat. loved the 335 after simon from e maps remapped it but just felt the car was to big to really get the most out of it
the 1er seems the best compromise and really cant wait to get in it http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...1501?logcode=p now does anyone have one with the bmw performance pack? |

I did the same, in the end the 335i felt too big and needed £X spending on it to get it just where the 135i is from the factory.
135i = Drivers Car 335i = Somewhere between drivers car and luxury car (but it's neither) E46 335i = That's a car I wish they made I've no experience with the BMW PPK but it's not 350bhp that's for sure. PPK1 was 320bhp & PPK2 is 330bhp...same as US 135is & new F20 M135i. I skipped the PPk and headed right for Cobb which frankly turns an already good car into something insane. |

Hi sorry bit late on he conversation but I have had the performance pack and exhaust retro fitted to my 2008 135i. Exhaust is brilliant. Power upgrade is good but very expensive for what you get. Also took the dealer 4 days to fit all the bits! Luckily agreed 1 day labour for the whole lot and they say they wouldn't do it again. Neither would I! Its got a small bit of turbo lag now but more than makes up for it with extra punch after 2k revs. Go for the exhaust but a cheaper chip. Not sure how necessary the extra powerful fan is. Oh and check your insurance first, mine decided they would no longer insure me! Shopped around and in the end got cover for £10 more than before. Good luck!

thanks for the input mate. i have had the car for a week now and its sooooo much more fun than the 335i...handles better and feels more connected to the road. love it! as for the power kit it delivers the power nicely with no dramas...ill run it as it is for a while then think ill go get it remapped as it is def ot as quick as my 3er after emaps finished with it. The 1 series brakes make the car and bring great confidence all round. the 3 was better on a long run but for the amount of time i do more than 30 miles i can live with it
