Thumbs up cyba's scoops installed

i ordered the black scoops from him it took a good week to come i am very pleased with his product very good build quality and for the price can't beat it
also took her for a good 40 min drive on the highway doing a constant 80-90mph and noticed a slight decrease in the regular running temp for the car meaning THE SCOOP'S WORK !!! and the install was a piece of cake also they came standard with a black finish i spray painted them red with a rattle-can and they came out really good very pleased with this product would recommend to anyone ...
.........thank you cyba

here is a pic of my car with them in

they were $49 shipped and what they do is ''scoop'' that nice and cool outside air and channel it into the intake thus creating better airflow

Oh cool! Do you have a stock intake and would it benefit a 128 stocker?

Question regarding if you have had any trouble with water being directed upward or blocking the radiator airflow? And did you paint yours?

well with the water issue the design of the scoops makes that highly unlikely but i mean i guess there might be a slight possiblity that could happen ..... i doubt it , and yes i painted them myself i just used a paint promoter and a can of red spray paint came out very good too

The scoops are great! I've had them for awhile now. Definitely can't beat Cyba's price and shipping time.

Drove my old 135i for 3 years with the scoops on.
DD with daily speeds over 140mph, no problems.
Also rain wasnt a problem.

#1 Yes these are cheap as hell = good, but consider their form, they have almost a 90 degree angle cut, vs something like the macht schnell ones that are smooth as butter, those MUST allow more air thru, smoother as well. All i can think of is these things causing some kind of air buffeting thru the intake, specially if you have the stock intake, could cause issues with air/fuel ratios..

#2 How the fuck..do you drive 140mph consistently most of the time..?

Anytime ive gotten my car above even 120mph its pretty scary, and that was on fairly decent wide open highways. I just dont understand it, i know these cars obviously can handle it, guess its more of a driver thing.
