Changing speedo to F series dials

Hello guys, i have some kind of (luxury) issue

I already have done a couple of mods to move parts from F series to my E87 car, now its time for the speedo

My car is only a 118d, but i don`t want to install a e90 M series speedo as it still has some old fashioned look, i want to have it looking a little bit more modern

At the moment i can`t decide if i should use the F20 Sportiline or the F10 6WA speedo.

F20 Sportline:


F10 6WA (only the left side tested)


so which should i mod to ?
the F20 speedo does have a more 3D like look, but the F10 is also cool with its cleaner design

both have some issue for installing, so its not plug & play at all, and i haven`t checked yet if the scaling can be adopted at all

I'm not sure on how well the electronics are going to speak to each other. Another option would be to buy new gauge faces for your existing cluster. I've gotten a couple different faces from Venoxy and I'm very happy with the product

*This is not my set. I haven't installed mine yet but they are the F8x style from Venoxy

They are also looking pretty nice indeed

I plan to only replace also the dials, not the entire speedo, so i would have to only check if the scalling is changeable correctly.

What i want is either more 3D looking dials, or Blackpanel look also with the 3D looking part at the outside.

I wish there would be some company that can do 3D speedo dials, this would make it much easier

Unfortunately no update yet, i have put that project at hold as i have some other more important todo`s before doing the speedo :/
