Stereo Displays Incorrect Song

Intermittently, when playing songs from my iPhone using the factory 6FL option the stereo in my 2009 128i displays the wrong song title. In other words, not the song that's playing. I use a mix of AAC Protected, AAC without DRM, MP3, and Apple Lossless files. I haven't tested to see if file type is the issue. Has anyone experienced this problem?

I think I remember this problem early on but I did a full hard reset on my iPod and it hasn't happened since.

Knock on wood but I returned my iPhone 3GS to Apple. The replacement does not seem to have this problem but it still doesn't charge unfortunately.
