Talking wrap or plasti dip

Looking for some comments from you folks who may have seen or used these ideas. I want to do something to my 2013 vert that will make it stand out. I have the design drawn out but not sure which product to go with.

I am considering either having the car wrapped or taking it to a professional to have it plasti-dipped. what are the pros and cons of each?

The design that I have in mind does have more than one color if this makes a difference

Wrap. It'll probably be more expensive, but it'll last you a lot longer and look a lot better over time as opposed to the dip.

From my experience, plastidip melts off from bird poop. Also, it get's into every crack and crevice when you spray it, even if you tape/mask as best you can. If you're OCD, get a wrap. It's much more expensive, but it will last a long time. Plastidip can start to peel off, especially if it's on edges that you touch often.

Depends on your budget.
Plasti Dip if done correctly by a pro and using extra coats will look awesome !!
It is also cheaper but a pain to maintain

Also take into consideration, if you're the type of person that gets bored with colors very easily, plastidip is the way to go (Won't last as long as vinyl, and it's money-friendly when you want to swap colors).

Wrap all the way; colors are outstanding and more durable, but more labor intensive and therefore more expensive. Also, keep in mind that as you get dings and deep scratches on your bumper/fenders, the original color of your car will show in those spots. Let's say you wrap in matte black carbon fiber, and your color underneath is orange, you'll clearly see flecks of orange as bits of the vinyl are damaged/chipped by high speed debris. On the other hand, if your original body color is black or silver, it's not so bad.

A legit wrap will cost as much as an actual quality paint job. A legit professionally done dip job will cost you as much as a maaco paint job....Up to you on what your budget is.

wrap for sure. plasti dip is great for emblems and things like that. I have seen some of the guys that shoot plasti dip with pro sprayers and even make 1 off custom colors but i will tell you from experience it doesnt come off easily after its been on for a while.

There are so many new vinyl colors/textures on the market now. the most important thing is to find an experience wrapper. there are a lot of guys who are selling wrap jobs and have NO business doing so.

Where are you located, maybe i can help refer you to someone

I had wrap on my car and quality is great and most people mistake it as factory color. Saw few people with dip and did not like it much.

I am in Brisbane Australia. Do you, or anyone else, have a wrapper that they can recommend in the area?
