Are you going to use your old wheels with the PSS for street?

Yeah, I'm doing the same thing. I moved my old PS2s from the stock wheels to Apex Aero-7s. Then I'll put something on the stock wheels for winter, probably Conti DWS.

Pretty hard to get more ridiculous than three sets of wheels with AD08, PS2 and DWS. Most people wouldn't even notice the difference.

you could sell a set and just go with conti dws for DD. good dry traction and they're good in snow too.

Chris,
I don't see yoko's offering 245/35. are you going 245/40 or 255/35? either way you'll have to do some fender work with those sizes

Judging from this (the bolded part), your problem isn't the tires but the set-up on the front. Adding R-comps may EXACERBATE the problem in a way. R-comps have stiffer sidewalls that favors proper camber in front on a BMW. If you can't resolve the issue with the accelerated wear up front, the result of adding R-comps may further exaggerate the understeer because grip level is increased over street tires, but the problem with lack of camber up front will result in the front end pushing regardless (but the rear grip has improved).

In my opinion, the best way to determine if and when you're ready to move onto R-comps, is with DATA ACQUISITION. If your data consistently shows that you're between 0.9G - 1.0G lateral acceleration on most of your corners from turn-in to apex, and sometimes exceeding 1.0G lateral acceleration, then moving onto R-comps is but a natural progression of speed. Otherwise, if you're not nearly extracting 0.9G or more from good summer street tires (like Pilot Super Sports) yet, adding R-comps is basically a waste of money and time. You may be faster, but you're not FASTER like you should be.

I know I need more front camber on the car which will be getting added as with the new setup. The car is my DD so i tried to keep the camber at a manageable level for street driving and improve on track performance. I'm 90% set on getting AD08 street tires in a square setup for the rest of the year before moving to Rcomps.

My biggest goal with getting new tires setup is having some that I can rotate around and flip one wheels too to maximize tread life. I know with most Rcomps you can do that. Unfortunately with the pilot super sports the way they're designed they have a an outside edge that needs to stay out there b/c of the way the rubber is layered on the tire. My fronts where out quickly b/c I only have 2.5 degrees of camber and they can't be rotated. In contrast my rears have been on the car for more than a year and lasted over 6 events and 12k of driving too.
