Nice post Luc. SOmething looks weird about those German tags. The rear tag should not have the red dot on the bottom. It should be above the German state decall(which is missing)!
SU = Suhl = former DDR. Still something seems fishy here. Note the two decals between the city letters and plate numbers. Top one is when the car's TUV expires and the bottom one is the state within Germany that the car is registered in.

Yup. I also just noticed those tags end in a "D", which is not normal for German tags. I know oldtimer cars older than 25 years end in a "H" for historic. They are exempt from emission tests and the Umwelt Zone controls(restrictions) in most major German cities. I have never seen a German tag that ends in a "D". I also know German tags that begin with a "0" (zero) are diplomatic tags. Also tags that start with one number digit and two letters are also for VIPs and Government (related)people. This "D" has me stumped. I gotta ask some German friends of mine! Dack

The owner decided to wrap his Valencia Orange 1M in white, so the "D" might stand for "Deranged".
