Had some delays, but moving forward - car is going into paint next.
New parts arrived also - N55 midpipes without cats, metal brake lines, PFC brake pads, CAE shifter and Recaro Sportser CS seat. N55 midpipe Postman ruined the intercooler during transport. I have to fix it now. CAE shifter Motivation -> a 1:18 model of the car that is being built. Assembled, prepared for painters |

Yeah, that is one option. Although it would have been easier + way cheaper just to send then the documents and a piece of body holding the VIN. Buyer is a drift enthusiast, who said he aims to put a V8 in it and wanted as complete of a car I would be willing to send him... initially I had planned on taking at least the inner fenders from the wrecked car, but did not cut it up then and ordered new for myself.

Work continues in a few days. Car has been painted and is ready now for final assembly. New Recaro CS seat upholstered, new matching driver's side door trim made (were damaged/missing) and everything else should be set to go except a missing outside door handle (damn CAS on this one) and Wiechers roll bar (still waiting for the Germans to deliver this).

Amazing work, can't wait to see the completed car and I'm sure you can't wait to get it on the track!

some more progress, need to figure out the wheels (18" square setup) and suspension parts (KW V3 upgrade to cylindrical springs or new camber plates) though.
I am not 100%, but seems I have a Alpha-N rear carbon diffuser Last edited by xjan; 05-09-2016 at 01:44 PM.. |
