OEM spoiler (lip) E82 vs E88

Okay, can someone settle this once and for all. I have searched the forum to determine if the OEM spoiler (lip) off of an E82 (coupe) will fit an E88 (convertable). There is consensus that the trunk on the E88 is a little flatter than the E82 to allow for the roof to be taken down. Therefore, there are some that say it will not fit. However there are others that say it will fit fine.

Does anyone have the final determination on this?

Tried to fir a E82 spoiler to my E88. But the fitment is way off, need a lot of work to get it fit perfect. Bottom line is, it won't be a DIY, but any body shop should be able to get it fit.
