I have quite a few things in work right now and a nice shelf of mods ready to go. I pick my car up on the 28th and I will post as I go. I am debating about Montego Blue leather accents on the interior (to match the exterior) or Inka Orange as an homage to the 2002 throwback imagery BMW has been using. Luckily I have a month to figure it out.

That sounds great, and I can't wait to see what you guys come up with. With the 1er potentially being a big tuner car (if they ship more of the darned things here!), you might have some decent aftermarket penetration there... I can't wait to get my car in 2 weeks, and already have some stuff to tinker with.

For those of you who don't know of LeatherZ, they've been in the BMW scene for many years, catering to very cool interior custom leather, suede, and gauge work, plus do a bunch of other stuff...

Larry, the LeatherZ guys are my old Z3 buddies  They started by making leather covered center consoles for the Z3.

They don't say BMW on them, but I will look again. Looks like you drill holes into the existing pedals.

Pedals look nice, I bet it will be at least 1/4 second faster to 60.

I've got a few pics somewhere from back then (I think we took a film camera or the state of the art .75 megapixel Canon digital camera!). I am surprised the Cherokee made it as I think I tried to keep up with the group and burned through the brakes, how I didn't kill myself on the twisties is beyond me. As I recall we worked all day Friday (we were working in the hotel room) and Saturday and then they had the dinner for everyone in the cafeteria. We went to it and slept through the entire thing. Vendors pay a ton of money to go there but can't attend any of the functions unless they also register as participants and pay more money, we made the mistake of paying that year. Now we work Thursday afternoon, all day Friday, all day Saturday and drive back to Cincinnati on Saturday night. Talk about tired. The first one is the one I remember though; all the others have just sort of blended together.

 I think Jon and I were each carrying around an extra 20 lbs of insulation back then!

Do you still have those roll hoop covers? They are probably worth quite a bit, we only made a few sets.

I spoke to the Powers That Be about the sales tax thing and showed them in the tax code where it says that we do not have to charge tax to people who reside outside NC if we ship it to them. They agreed to not charge the tax. Sorry about the confusion. Tischer is a much bigger operation than we are so we can't swing the 20% off that they can. Shop there if you must. LOL Thanks to all for supporting a fellow 1addict.

If you are serious, and I don't know if you are (why would you want one for a pssgr?).. you might be able to retrofit a UK (RHD) dead pedal...
