I've had good luck with clay, but have had to use tar remover to get it off of the inside lip of the rear fenders. Be sure to clean your wheels soon after tracking, the little bits of brake pad that embed themselves in the rim are easier to get out quickly. I use clay for that too.

I agree..
Bug and tar remover... then a little clay... depending on what you use to lube the clay, you may want to throw a little spray wax over the area, or wax as usual when you are done. I hate cleaning the car after a track event... My car is white.. Dont know if you swap your wheels ( i do, so i get to clean inside the barrels ) there is a lot of rubber build up also on the inside..

3M Adhesive Remover 08987 in a aerosol rattle can. Totally dissolves the rubber marks instantly. Best thing for road tar as well.

You can find it at Home Depot / Lowes. It's a great product for removing this sort of thing, I just think of it as a little aggressive. I tend to use clay first, tar remover if that wasn't enough, and the 3M as a last resort.

Not sure. I haven't had much luck finding it locally. I pretty much exclusively order it online. Just google "3M Adhesive Remover 08987"
