Same here. Live in Quebec Canada. D4 fluid smoothed out shifting tremendously.

I used Redline D4 in my 135i shortly after purchasing it as it had the BMWP SSK already installed and it was SO notchy. Night and day difference, I loved it. Took a little while to wear in but after that all the notchiness went away.
No problems with my 1M so far, but will probably switch to Redline in the near future because I know how good it was in my 135i. |

I also found that after switching fluids it was not completely better. Had to change it a second time. Both times done with the trans at full operating temp. When you change the fluid, there is still a lot of the older fluid in there.
