Question for ECS Tuning Oil Catch Can for 1M

Hey guys,

Looking at the ECS Tuning Oil Catch Can system for a 2011 1M. They have a left and right side mounting option for the kit and would like to know is there a preferred side that most people install the kit?

I actually ordered this a while back. Originally ordered the driver side, ran into fitment issues with the hoses then exchanged for the passenger side and had the same issue. After the wait time on both I had exceeded the return period and was only issued customer credit. My 2 cents is they dont fit nearly as nice as they do in the pics and were likely designed with the dimensions of the 335i bay in mind.

I got the passenger side mount to run breather next to relocated filters and only issue with fitment was the line going to valve cover but I got it to fit.

Without inlets, I'd probably go with drivers side.
