I had a clicking/clunking noise in the back of my 135i convertible- sounded like something was swinging and hitting metal when going over bumps and taking turns.
It turned out to be faulty hinges on my convertible's tonneau cover. It took them a while to diagnose it but they came through and fixed it for me.

I dealt with this annoying clicking noise in the back of my 3 series BMW (2009) for almost 2 years and there was absolutely nothing normal about it - well probably typical among many 3-series, but it is not supposed to be there. I know this because they finally fixed it and it was the plastic fins on the rear parcel shelf rubbing against metal.
Perhaps you're talking about something else. |
