Reviving! Just installed my set the other day! Will be taking pics this weekend. By far this set is 100% worth the money and effort of install.

Couple words for those wanting to do the install... take the accelerator pedal hub off after you have pre-drilled holes and then screw on the new pedal cover. It was hard enough reaching behind it in such a small space. The bottom right screw gave me the most trouble as I didn't know how to detach the pedal from the boot.

AT brake pedal is drill work. Just drill through metal and screw in, easy. And dead-foot is the easiest just pre-drill small guide holes then screw in!

All in all difficulty is about a 6/10 considering the screws/nuts are small and frustrating!
The look of the pedals is a 10/10!

Special thanks to Tyorll for helping me with a detailed PM and pics!

I would advise some lock-tight and the screws before putting on washers and nuts so no vibrations loosen anything. Takes an extra minute when installing each screw.

I want to add that the customer service of the Ebay seller is great! I ordered a RHD set accidentally... and emailed him right after I had purchased. Responded within 10 minutes and confirmed that I needed a LHD AT set. Order was received 5 days after and correct! This is not some shitty seller on Ebay that bails on you after purchase
Here are some pics for the curious! Great Ebay item for the price and great look. Easy to install and adds a tremendous amount to the interior of the car.

I would highly recommend purchasing a set if you have not already!

Here is his site: http://shop.ebay.com.au/3amotor/m.ht....c0.m270.l1313

Search for your set LHD AT/MT or RHD AT/MT

Enjoy the pics!

Thanks! I would have taken pictures going through the process, but I was getting very frustrated with the small screws and that stupid accelerator pedal!!!

Yes you are correct! US spec cars are LHD cars. So the driver side (where the pedals are located) would be on the left hand side inside the car and the right side when facing the front of the car.

If you have any other questions let me know!

The pedals are symmetrical so they would look the same whichever side they are on.
However, the RHD cars have brake and clutch pedals with only 3 drill holes. Therefore, US spec pedals will not suit these cars.

Just received mine today. They look much more expensive than what I paid. Great packaging and no drama with the order. A worthy upgrade.

As an alternative to the above, has anyone installed the Turner Motorsport Pedal set?

http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-15...nsmission.aspx

I had plain aluminum pedals (no rubber) on another BMW for years with no problems. But I am interested in these Turner pedals with grippy surfaces for brake/clutch (although I could go with out the Turner logo, but it's pretty unobtrusive).

I'm kind of intrigued by the black anodized ones. I think they would look pretty hidden, although I wouldn't love it if the surface degraded as it mentions.

I'm local to Turner, so I might have to check these out in person. I just don't love the factory BMW pedals.

And as a bonus they are Made in the USA.

I forgot what size I used for the brake since you had to drill through metal. If you have a drill bit set match it up with the small screw things. They should slide in and you put the nut on the back

Just thought I'd update this thread. I've had these pedals installed for several months now. No signs of wear. Rubber sticky pads are holding up well - in fact I can't tell the difference from when they were new. Bargain!

Thanks for the update tyorll. Good to know they are holding up. Bought a set from the guy on ebay after seeing this thread a while back but haven't taken the time to put them on yet.

Anybody with these heel and toe? I really just rock my foot side to side but sometimes I have to slide my foot a bit because I do not position it correct. I have gotten used to the somewhat slick but somewhat grippy stock pads. I am just wondering if these are a lot more or less slippery. Also, is the grippy surface stick-on?

You should take the hour to install them! They add a great deal to the interior of the car

The amount of rubber grip that pops up will make it not as smooth as the stock pads. They pop up maybe < centimeter off the pedal. They are not stick on, but rather a flat piece of rubber that slips behind the metal foot pedal with holes for the rubber grip to fit into. It is then sandwiched between that and the existing pedal. No movement etc... perfect fit.

IF you are worried about heal and toe, I would say I haven't noticed any difference and I slide occasionally.

Thanks for the additional information. I just ordered a set. $49.99 with shipping to the U. S.. Seems like a very good deal.

They came and got installed today. I could have had them Monday but the shipping was signature required. That is very fast from Taiwan. I had to drill the clutch and accelerator - all the pedals - for installation. My clutch is hard plastic, only the brake was metal.

It took me another hour the next night to get the pedal off and the nuts tightened and the pedal reinstalled. Andy's installation instructions for the stainless steel set were helpful but that pedal is a pain in the back! The bolt is simple, but getting it to slide up and getting the electrical connector off are ridiculous. And getting it back in place was worse. Definitely a job for a younger man. But my 28 year old son was out and about. And I got it done.

You need a 1/8 inch drill bit for the holes but is not very difficult. It is just a little painful to work on the pedals because of the position you have to be in. Sometimes I could do something sitting on the seat but mostly it was kneeling on the garage floor beside the car.

Well worth the $50. I can't believe the BMW set is better quality. These are thick solid aluminum and well made rubber inserts.

I'm keen but seems the seller doesn't sell RHD Aluminium pedals anymore?

Just got my pedals today. Brake pedal has a bend in it and the accelerator pedal only has 3 holes?

That's not good. Demand a replacement? The pedals I received were perfectly machined. One of the holes of the brake pedal needed me to file off the back where there was a moderately sharp lip where the pre-drilled hole was placed, but everything else was flawless and the holes perfectly positioned.
