Ground clearance for lowered cars

Hey lowered guys. Do you trim the vertical tabs under both sides the front bumper to provide more clearance? If so, any tradeoffs?

No need to trim. The are made of flexible rubber and are there to improve aerodynamic by directing air away from the wheel arches.
