Power Window Failure

Anyone else experienced power window failure?

To BMW?

New Years Eve brings the drivers window a world of broken. Cable end snaps with a boom in left ear and after some Martymil investigation, some broken pulley's.

See Marty's emergency special part fix. Bit of architrave snapped down to the right size and taped in.

Hope it isn't too expensive to repair.

passenger side failed today. cables were tangled and chewed up where it hooks into the gear/pulley.

Need to replace the window regulator.. had it happen to me last year

Just happened to me. Drivers side. 08 135i with 119,000 miles. Regulator failure.

Maybe in a few decades BMW will find a way to make one that withstands the test of time.

Cost? I assume you got BMW to fix?

I think I have damage to one of the pulley's above door lock as well from cable end snap. So it will be up and down cable, regulator and...
