New wheels! And visiting my Dad
Hey,
So after 9 months of having my car I've finally got some 18" 261M wheels instead of my original 17" ones. I've been after these for a while and rather excited to get them on the car tomorrow. I have winter tyres for the 17" alloys which will go on permanently next winter, I might finish the remaining tread of the current tyres on a track or something (done about 15k miles on them). Also staying with my parents so I thought I'd pop up a pic of my car with my Dads! Tim

What you really needed to do was find a way to take the wheels that are on that red car parked next to yours.

Nice job, I love the 261's on the 1er, one of the best OEM wheel BMW offer IMO

As you can see it is basically just black and not very special! Seems funny really that they wouldn't include the cheap shiny one because it's so much nicer. Tim

I live in Chelsea, but those pics are at my parents house in Hertfordshire, just north of the city and fortunately the weather was nice! (it's not any more however...) Tim

Lukily found somebody who had a brand new 135i and bought the Performance alloys so took them from him with just 15 miles driven and of course no issues, paid £800 for the wheels and tyres, which considering a set of 4 tyres is £800 new and the alloys are about £1000 for the set new is not a bad deal, so huge thanks go to the seller!
With my car living on the crampt streets of London I do worry a lot about kerbing one, I'm sure it is innevitable with always parralel parking and some pretty nasty kerb edges near me, but they look so good that I'm pretty happy Tim
