Functional Splitter
I was looking to add a splitter to my 135i. More for visual aspects then anything else. However if there is one that is functional that would be a bonus. Any of you track guys have any experience with splitters? I do 8 to 10 track days a year and run intermediate for the most part. I was looking at the kerscher piece.

Slek's is the only one I've seen that actually looks functional to me. But it's $1,000 which is bonkers for such an extremely vulnerable part.
There are a handful of other options out there that are cheaper, ranging from $100 ABS pieces sold by a forum member to the other carbon fiber offerings of other manufacturers. None of them appear to have a design that will really add anything to the track experience though. With enough know-how, it's possible to build a highly functional and cheap splitter out of plywood or aluminum and other assorted household items available at your local Home Depot, but they aren't exactly aesthetically pleasing or a great idea to leave on the car year-round. I keep wishing someone will make an ABS version of Slek's for those of us without six-figure race team budgets.
