Sorry to be ignorant, but what is a SSK?
If is is a Mercedes Benz built between 1928 and 1932, I have it thanks. $400 is an absolute steal considering one sold in 2004 for US$7.4 million.......

to me. And I was pretty disappointed it wasn't the Mercedes cuizhuoyi01!
Anyway, gaiter and knob fitted (30sec job). I'll get around to fitting the new lever & carrier sometime later...

Just trying to keep up with the mattyvs. After driving your SSK equipped car a few weeks ago I was swayed.
No photos as yet d3syd, though there are many other pics of the SSK on this forum - or check out Andrew's SouthernBM website. He's fitted and photographed quite a few. Has anybody fitted the SSK themselves & can report on the difficulty? I've replaced a few E30 BM levers previously and have no issue there (except losing the circlip into into a wormhole when I prise it off...) but have not replaced the carrier before.

Thanks Andrew. This is the first time I've read that the tailshaft needs to be dropped. I've read that the transmission can be dropped slightly to aid fitting.
