New guy sharing his recently acquired 2009 135i Coupe
Hey everyone, I have been enjoying reading the forum and wanted to share my fairly new to me 2009 135i. I was leasing a 2016 340xi and had to find something to replace it as the lease was coming to an end. In my search for a replacement I stumbled upon this low mileage e82 that was located only an hour from me. The car had just under 13,000 miles and seemed to be in beautiful condition. After seeing it I knew that I had to have it. The story that came with the car was that the original owner bought it at a local dealership and only put 8,000 or so miles on it in almost a decade of ownership. The mechanic that bought it was using it as his daily driver and put an additional 4,000 or so miles on it in the few months that he had it. Story aside, the car drives great and everything works. The only issues with the car were that it clearly lived outside so some of the plastic bits had become sun-faded and the original owner never saw a curb that he didn't feel with a rim. I believe that the car only has 3 additional options. It has heated seats and a heated steering wheel as well as light burl walnut trim. I was thrilled to see that it had so few options as that is how I prefer my cars. My f30 only had standalone navigation and the driver assistance package. I am sure it was the only 340xi in the northeast with no heated items. Here are some pics from the first time I saw my beloved e82 in April 2019.

It had Dinan freeflow exhaust from the cat back. I am sure that my neighbors are depressed that I had to give it back. If anyone needs an f30 dinan muffler please let me know. haha. 20190423_163838 by [url=https://www.flickr.com/photos/181769741@N07/] Here are a few random pics after a few months of ownership: 20190617_124057 by [url=https://www.flickr.com/photos/181769741@N07/] [url=https://flic.kr/p/2i7VEKk] [url=https://flic.kr/p/2i7X9Ma]IMG_0021 by [url=https://www.flickr.com/photos/181769741@N07/]IMG_0027 by 20190617_124045 by [url=https://www.flickr.com/photos/181769741@N07/] 20190521_144912 by [url=https://www.flickr.com/photos/181769741@N07/] And finally a few rather poor pics that I took this morning. The sun is nowhere to be found. All that I have done to the car besides clean it is replace the side makers and one of the decorative door sills. I have put about 1,500 miles on the car since April. Haha. I am by no means a heavy driver but that will go up significantly in 2020. 20191231_103706 by [url=https://www.flickr.com/photos/181769741@N07/] 20191231_103842 by [url=https://www.flickr.com/photos/181769741@N07/] 20191231_103830 by [url=https://www.flickr.com/photos/181769741@N07/] Anyway thank you all for letting me share! I have no doubt that this place will be a valuable asset to me going forward. |

Welcome to 1Addicts
That 6 speed manual looks to be the most important option to me!

Haha. That was my doing. I ordered them the moment I bought the car. Like all of you I care too much for my vehicles. I washed it on christmas day while my family was visiting. Haha.

What the hell! Thats incredible to find a 6spd with that low mileage. Brand new from a powertrain perspective! Good for you.
Really interested in hearing your driving comparisons between your 340xi and the 135i as they are both future options I weigh mentally from time to time you know...just in case |
