No worries.

I am now rethinking the runflats. I might just put them back on.
Looks like... well, for the time being.... I am staying MPSS. Tire Rack is re-shipping me the two tires I blew out for $220.

225/40R18 $100
255/35R18 $120

What a great company! Thank you Tire Rack!!!

I see why you guys like these MPSS's so much. Just got a set for the car and damn does it make a difference. Also put on some H&R Super Sport springs, but I feel like when they settle, the car will rub

What sizes did you go with in the PSS? Got pics of the car sitting on H&R's?

Took me 1.5 hours to install 4 spacers because I spent 45 mins asking which of my friends had a 3/8 adapter and 17mm socket since mine broke off when I was working on the last wheel.

And end of day, turns out the rears were rubbing with 10mm so only running fronts as now. Final product:

hello peeps!!

i could have SWORE i saw my old 135is earlier this week.....have there been any 'new' owners join this thread who bought a Deep Sea Blue 135is with around 20k miles back in the summer? Am curious if the new owner is here.

man you guys are all doing the performance suspension aren't you!? it's like a mass movement of 135is owners into modified suspension!!

meanwhile just crossed 45k miles on the 1M (bought with 35k). still feels epic. If i would have kept the 135is it would have around 30k miles by now. I just ordered some Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2s for it (same snow tires i had on the 135is) and will be using M3 18" 219Ms. can't wait for the winter to start!!!

I'd say your calculation is right seeing how I'm a little shy of 30k and we were pretty much tracking each other, lol. I am moving homes though which should cut my commute by half

Night shot

I saw a cute grey 135is @ Beverly Glen today. It's very clean. Please pardon my dirty little blue car. So, was that you Greg?

You're the first E82 135is I've seen on the road. Most of the ones I see are 'verts.

Enjoying the performance suspension out here in Ohio. With 313s and stock sized PSSs, here is what the drop looks like:

Photos like this and Greg's make me think I got the wrong color at times. Sigh... I was motivated by the blue stitching & carpet mats to match the exterior.

What can I say...I'm a trend setter and everyone wants to be just like me. =) Hahaha! It's definitely interesting that so many people are now doing it at the same point in time.

Ha! I had a feeling that might have been you and glad you finally got in front of that old fart in the jetta wagon. I got stuck behind them on ventura blvd heading up beverly glen and they went 20 the entire way and I couldn't take it anymore and finally passed them illegally on a straight away to carve that canyon up. Then, I see a blue 135 come up behind me and couldn't tell or didn't know until the very end when you pulled up next to me and then past me that heyyyy, it's a 135is! First one I've seen on the road, too. You also got to witness our awful navigation at work as I almost made the wrong left twice. Ha!

Can't believe you have to ask if that's me since you would have spent a few miles there behind me staring at my 1IS 4ME license plate shown up and to the left here by my name. =P

We should have taken out that biker. No comment on how far you went into oncoming traffic to get past him. Fun times.

Well, if I don't keep mine at the end of my lease, I'll send it your way with about 15-18k miles on it and PS already installed and you can reset the clock a bit. =P

I struggled mightily on that blue stitching but got the leatherette instead. It wasn't until after mine and Kouper's cars were already built that we then even found OUT that if you got blue stitched leather you also got those special floormats. Had I known that, I may have gotten it.

How are you enjoying the new suspension setup/ride now that you've had some more time with it? Assuming it's similar to the full PS, you can see now what I tried to articulate about how much more composed and capable the car FEELS, which makes me then drive faster cause I have a lot more confidence in it.

I WILL NEVER SELL MY SPECIAL LIMITED EDITION BLUE PIPING CARPETED MATS. THAT IS THE ESSENCE OF A 135IS.

lol

Truth is I always knew I wanted it, was just hoping I could fight the temptation and wait till next year when I racked on more miles on the existing set up but like all mods... waiting is too hard.

We musn't publish this info for the Gregs of the world may try to snag a set. I shall send you a private hand written message via black crow. In all seriousness dunno but if I had to guess it's:

1 Set of floormats, border trim in blue EDITION SPORT 51477327833

Although Greg made a post few months back how they didn't look as good as what others got from factory:

Was gonna say, I already tried and the car gods didn't like me having them. What we ultimately determined by comparing with Bama335's car is that apparently at some point in 2013, BMW changed suppliers or colors, so it seemed that cars built I think before May 2013 got the bright blue and those after got the slightly darker blue. Bama bought a second set using the same part # I did and they matched his factory ones. I wanted the brighter blue one.

Point being, if you have the bright colored blue ones, just be warned that after waiting a month for them to arrive from Germany, they may not match what you already have. Don't get me started back on the floormats though or Kouper will start calling me a Mat Ho again.

Lol I actually saw you pass him. When I saw how slow that wagon was going, I thought "that 1 series will pass that wagon." Yeah, I'm not comfortable driving next to bikers. (I was in a car when my friend when a biker drifted into his path as he was passing him. Thank god there weren't any major injuries other than scrapes and bruises.) They have more freedom of movement and they're never wrong in car vs bike situations. Also, since I have the space, opportunity, no oncoming cars (at least, they're very far away anyway), and legal to pass there, I took advantage of the situation.

I had a good hunch you were an is while behind that jetta wagon. You guys were slow enough I can see the 313s and the PE tips. When I pulled up behind you, I was like "hmmm...this must be Greg from the forums."

Still embarrassed with how dirty my car is compared to how shiny yours was.

Well at least you got to see me blow past that guy. I wanted to take a canyon road to play with my lovely new performance suspension, I'm not crawling along behind that guy. I watched a UPS truck pass him on Ventura before turning that way and prayed he wasn't going my way.

For what it's worth I couldn't tell how dirty your car was, just thought it was funny to see two 135s back to back like that, let alone what I saw later was two of 586 IS's. And I'm sorry for your front plate. =P Hope you at least enjoyed my pretty rear plate. And I actually am way overdue for a detailing as I'm coming up on an entire year. Once it cools down in a few weeks she'll get the royal treatment.

Drive through Mulholland late at night, there aren't many cars there. You'll get a (small) taste of how the suspension will feel when driving it through curves. Warning, roads are bumpy and can get ugly at some points.

I'll wash my car this Friday and ask the dealer to do the SIB thing this weekend about the car revving when it comes to a stop. Detailing will have to wait for Thanksgiving or Winter/Christmas holidays
