I think our best chance is if Chris Harris is correct and the 1M is not actually limited production from a numbers standpoint. I heard that Pentagon did not get any of the MINI GP's, and my salesman told me that they only got one Z8 a few years back.
But I would think that if the production was only limited in terms of timeline, i.e., they're only going to produce the 1M for 9 months or so, then our chances would be much better. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. |

It was brought to be by unknown source that Usain Bolt will dash, hop, rip the cover off and then run off to eternity so fast that no one can catch him.

So, where's the "reveal?"
Two days ago scott26 said it was imminent. Where I come from, "imminent" means something like "stick your head between your knees and prepare for impact," as in like right now and for sure sooner rather than later... Imminent came and went, so now what's it gonna be? |

Christmas present to put off a cloth. Hahaha what a laugh. Next year i give bmw some presents when a bunch 1 ///M turbo break down when i test drive one. They better can concentrate that it can handle exceptional heat on track.
I have the same opinion like others here. It s a bit to much ///Marketing. |

Just got back a little while ago so here are a couple of quick hits:
The vertical slit in the front DOES allow air to flow through to the wheel well (earlier pics didn't show this too well) Valencia Orange: Seeing it in person, it's hard to describe but I could actually drive a car this color I do have a couple of issues with it though... with just a few exposed panels, it's hard to tell how Valencia Orange will look on the whole car. What I worry about is that it's too... ?loud? Looking at it today, it looks like a color that "pops" but doesn't scream "Look at me". But once the whole car is revealed that may not be the case The rear valance has a nice shiny finish to it that I hadn't noticed before but the exhaust tips were chrome (or at least polished). I think the black chrome tips from the 135 would look better but that's a subjective thing. I spoke with a nice young lady from BMW there and she assured me that the 1M would be available through the Military Sales system once the ordering data hits the system in late Dec/Jan. I'm going to take that with a grain of salt though since I had to tell her that the paint was called Valencia Orange The 340PS number was being tossed around quite a bit but tbh, that doesn't bother me too much. Standing next to the 1M it's aggressive stance was obvious. I KNEW that that was no 135. My wife even noticed how wide the fender flares were Oh, and the LCI headlights were taped off but I did notice that the front blinker was still using an incandescent bulb.

I really like what we can see so far. Huge brakes are always a good thing. Also suspect they have some nice ducting for them also. It will be interesting to see what else they have done. So far it looks very tempting.

The ducts on the BMW Welt car didn't directly feed the brakes. They fed a radiator or IC and then vented out into the wheel well, so I wonder how much cooling they provide the brakes.
