looks like a 250, great bike.
I had a Vespa a few years back, was modified with an intake, exhaust, and i removed all the chrome and extra pieces, then i shaved the turn signals and integrated them into the body. was pretty slick looking. Then i sold it, and got myself a 2002 yamaha R6, and i just sold it a few weeks ago, looking for something new, thinking i'll be leaning towards a Harley V-rod or something, I need more comfort then speed. |

yeah, not too many call it that here.
all i know is the 250 is about 1 million times better then the cbr 125 as it seems those can barely make it to 110 kph at least with a 250, you're faster then most of the traffic, thus, safer. |

i got my M2 last summer. i postponed getting the bike until now cause i needed to save every penny i had for the downpayment on my new condo. now that i've moved in, i thought i'd stop by and see what deals they had. also got an insane rate on my bike insurance (just over $50/mo for the season - if anyone needs a hookup, lemme know! |

My second favorite bike, that after the Daytona in Black and Gold. Same bike was in the movie Salt, minus mirrors which made it look sick. OP- I'm affraid a 250 is too small of a bike, you'll be looking to upgrade too soon. I have an SV650 as my first bike and it's pretty cheap on insurance at $790/year w two speeders under my belt. It has loads of character as it's a twin and quite nimble but I'm already lusting for more power. Happy and safe riding nonetheless. My SV before I added a bellypan |

@lowly: Niiiiice...love the ratted out look! I want to get the belly pan, bar end mirrors, some orange wheel tape (maybe...depends on if i custom paint the whole bike). BTW the bike on SALT had the belly pan, front cowl, windscreen...so just a bit different.
@Ibi: I do think you will outgrow that bike fairly quickly...that being said I would still recommend getting something 600cc and lower for beginners...the Triumph StripleR was/is my first bike and I had no problems with it as long as I remembered and applied everything I learned in my MSF course (did that waaay before I bought the bike)! @The1: Nooo Harley man....LOL...get a Triumph! Something uncommon like your 1er! That is part of the reason I got the StripleR! @everyone else: I know there are more riders out there! Where ya at? |

I actually love the Triumph line... even the scrambler. though i'm not sure i could pull it off. The speed tripple is on my short list. I just don't think i'm ready for a street fighter style at the moment, i want something a little more relaxed cruising for my 6'4+ frame... (i have no idea how i kept the R6 for so long, it caused me a lot of pain being crouched in a ball for long periods) Time will tell what the summer brings. |

You can still get one. The new Speedmaster is priced under 9k and then there is the Thunderbird @ $12k.....both are cheaper than most Harleys (minus the Sportster, but then again you wouldnt get one of those would you?). |

speed tripple is the 1050 cc is it not? that would be the route i'd go....
unfortunatly i've heard from a few sources that tall people don't do so well on them either, but i'll have to sit on one to see for certain. as far as the harley goes, i'd leave the sportsters alone..... would go for the V-rod, and no other harley. they can't be trusted!!! I also kind of like the boulevard M-90 I'm just tired of the really really fast bikes, yes they are fun. but they are silly fast. If i cruised everywhere at 250kph, i would have no problem with one. but the world gets left behind at that speed and you don't experience all the things the day and country side have to offer you. |
