n55 - overboosting

The N55 ISO 5 is BETA firmware. Post a log in their support section if you need tuning advice. If you are making support requests in the main section the moderators delete or move them to the support section.

Several of my customers are running the new N55 ISO firmware without issue so you probably have setup something wrong with it.

I continually get overboosting issues on e40. On 93 - no problem. On e40 with my FBO on map 5 - overboosting to 20+ psi according to the hijacked gas gauge.

i did nothing to the car but update the software. I am not getting viable responses from Terry as to what the Open Loop should be set at.

I feel like I have no choice but to revert back to the old hex. I cannot believe others arent having this issue (I bet they just arent logging/watching boost) as this has to be destructive to the engine. A shame, cause the car feels like it has more power up until it cuts out.

Based on what they say about map 5 - adjusts boost and timing depending on mods, octane, weather, etc - do I have such a good setup that the jb is "authorizing" a timing/boost allowance that my fuel system/dme just cannot support?

Hopefully someone can chime in as to what can be causing this. Cause hex4 I have no issues. It HAS to be software related according to every tuner I have spoken to....some of the best in the country for boosted cars.

Your posts were not deleted, they are in the support section. Terry has told you 3 times over there you need to do a log and post up the log data if you want any meaningful help. If youre not going to post a log then how can anyone help you?

nothing is setup wrong with it....I was back to Hex 4 - no issues.car is running fine. I'm not changing anything.

makes more power on the new hex for sure, but its overboosting, kicking me out of the map, and low-mid range drive-ability is NOT as fun on this new Hex.

Terry sent me a hex to try....I will load and report back once I have tried it out.

I hope your get to the bottom of your fluctuating (over)boost levels. Btw... I was just joking about deleting your thread.
