3 series clocks into a 1 series

After driving my mates 3 series, the outer ring which indicates your set cruise control speed really impressed me.
I've seen that a few people have fitted M3 clocks into their cars, so surely it's possible to fit a set of 3 series clocks into my e82?

When the OP says... "M3 clocks" what he means in 'Merican is the instrument panel cluster or gauges. YES, it is possible, but you will need someone to code the new instrument panel(or in German called: Kombi). You need to coding for the tach and for the kms/miles to be right.

Thanks for the translation. It's easy to forget that this is predominately an American forum.
With regards to the mileage on the 'cluster' can that be set to the existing mileage, or do you have to buy a cluster that had a lower mileage than the car itself?
Reason I ask, is that on my previous car, the mileage could only be increased, not reduced.

Yes it can only be increased too. Unless you open the instrument panel and transfer over the little chip that contains the mileage.

Thanks for clearing that up. I was confused.
