Cutouts?

Hey have a 135i with a jb3 and intakes was wondering if anyone was running a stock exhaust with cutouts ? I was thinking of going that way to keep her quiet most of the time and open it up at the strip or w e any advice would be appreciated ! Thanks!!

Its a cut out, there is no pipe for it to drone in lol

Put it right after the dp and enjoy

Actually that was a lil rude. im on my phone and for some reason it dident add my whole post ...i ment to say i did find those 2 threads but they offered little help and it still looks like no one has done this setup. My mistake i should have been more clear

My mistake, usually when someone helps someone and provides a faulty link they hop all over for not providing 100% help. Excuse me for misunderstanding. Not rude, just me.

And yes it has been done, I know some e9xs have it, elec cutouts as far as I know. Try it and post results!

Awesome thanks for the heads up im gona look into them ! And any help appreciated as far as im concerned ! And i know what ur talking about with ppl on here , i may be new to the bmw scene but ive been on others b4 !


On toppic tho, what kind of gains do you think this would get ? And on the 135i we need 2 correct?

Much better link than what I provided before, hopefully you can find more answers here.

I don't know that there is enough people running them to give accurate HP gain results. You'd want to get catless downpipes and install them immediately before the downpipe ends, I believe, don't quote me on that. As far as I know we would also need 2. You could probably get away with one larger one if done later in the pipe, I'm hardly an expert at anything, let alone this.
