Darn Rick, looks like Potxoli beat you to the punch with the same wheels! Sounds like you both probably got the same set on tirerack.

Potxoli, looks great! As Greg mentioned, I picked up the same wheels (the new Sport Edition A8 in Ti Gunmetal) from Tire Rack a couple of weeks ago but haven't installed them yet. I've already got a couple of coats of Wheel Wax on them. Did you get TPMS sensors as well? I went with Michelin PA3s, which I think is very comparable to your setup. Great minds think alike!

I will install them next weekend when the forecast says it will dip down to freezing again, and I've the jack pad adapter on the way so that I don't risk damaging the plastic jack pads… overkill perhaps. I'll post photos once they are installed.

Here is mine. Sport Edition A7 with Blizzack, all 205/50-17. My summer tires are the staggered with 245/35-18 in the rear. I had to switch those tires to non-RFT since the RFT was killing me with the slamming on irregular pavement. The RFT in this size is fine.

lol, i ordered the same rims on Thursday but with the Pirelli Winter Sottozero 3 Run Flats in 225/45R-17's. It was the only rim they had in stock that fit the OEM BMW Rondel.

Looks good... thanks for the post!

I did not get TPMS. Lot's of expenses all around and $200 to get rid of a light in the dash didn't seem worthwhile

Here's my winter wheels and tires. See if you can guess what they are . Obviously mine is the one on the right. The only one you can see wheels and tires on.

Nice to see those F10s. They look great. I bought the F10s w/ the black accents from another member, but won't be mounting them for a few more weeks probably. Will definitely post pix when I do.

Just washed and waxed the summers, time to bag them up and put them away for the winter. I can't wait until I get to throw these back on in the spring.

Sport Edition SE-16 17x7.5 - 40 and Blizzack WS70 205/50-17
Rallycross and time trialed on frozen lake last year with this setup in Michigan.
They were fine on the roads in Metro Detroit. Mostly cold and wet, with occasional 3-6" snowfalls.

This year, I'm converting to 128 brakes and going with a 15" tire setup.
Very nice style 178 setup.

Guys if you haven't had a chance to race on a frozen lake...try it! You will learn so much and well...there is nothing to hit! =)

For sure. It was my first drive in the 135. I have little RWD/hi hp experience and spun many times. The frozen lake uncovered the 1er's real issue...open diff. But your right, so much fun and so rare.

Not me, but another guy on the same day, same lake (Ross Lake in Beaverton, MI. Saginaw Valley SCCA), and with data.

Finally installed my winters. 225/45R17 Michelin PA3 ZPs on Sport Edition A8s. TPMS re-initialized without any issues. I'm not super excited about the appearance, and I'm already not loving the run flat ride. 4 months until the 313s with PSSs go back on...
