Tall people...I gotta question
How is the ride in the long run? I did test drive it and it felt nice but it did not have the sports package. I did sit in the sports seats today and I think they are alright but I am looking for a more long tern review.
I am 6'5" 235lbs. By the way, I think I can deal with the ridiculously place door frame. Way too far forward. May wait for the coupe but the sedan just offers something the coupe cannot....instant gratification. |

The only thing that gets me is my wife (5'9") leaving the seat up so far that when I swing myself (6'3") in I catch the side bolsters. As much as I love the weight/space savings of manual seats, I cannot wait for the memory power seats on the E90. I found the shape of the E90 sports seats near perfect, with a lot of upper-body support that alleviates pressure on the lower back. Over the long haul I prefer a sports suspension -- taut vs. jiggly, and less likely to bottom out. But the run-flats are a ???

Can you guys deal with the obstructed view from the side window?
I too prefer a stiff ride. I have a motorcycle too and just "feeling" the road is necessary. My brother has an Avalanche and I hate riding that boat. |

I'm 6'8', 285 lbs and have sport package.
Seating position is perfect, but no room in back seat behind me. The extension in the sport seats really helps. Have been on two trips, longest was approx 900 km each way and was comfortable and I have 9,000 km on car now.

6'3", 220 lbs. Decided to go with non-SP seats because they begin to pinch your hips after a few hours. I have no complaints about my non-sp seats. I like the fact that I can spread my legs apart with the non-SP seats.

Do you see flashing red and blue lights and hear sirens when you do this? If so...that is not your car. |

My boyfriend is 6'4" 250lbs and he said the sport seats are nice with the bolsters at the widest position. He says the head room is good too. One of my favorite features about the car are the memory seats, since he is 6'4" and I am 5'0", lol, I have the seat as far as it goes up and in, and he has the seat as far as it goes down and back.

I like it up too high for my wife, but she doesn't mine me having the telescopic adjustment all the way back?

6'3", 240lbs.
Sport seats were great at first, but the side bolsters at their widest position were still to close for me. That and a slight curve forward in the seat caused my shoulders to roll forward which became painful over time. I added cushion to the center of the seat, removing the curve forward and pushing me forward and slightly away from the side-bolsters. They are fine now. It was almost a big enough issue to try and sell the lease. My e46 sport seats were the best I ever had. I miss them.

Hey noflash....is the obstructive view to the side a problem for you?
I have an infiniti FX35 right now. I think I can deal with the side bolsters if I learsed to deal with the poorly placed seat controls on the FX's seat. Do you have the premium package also? Are the seats different? |

Make sure to spend some serious time in the sport seats prior to thinking you can deal with it. I do not have the premium package, therefore I do not have the airbag lumbar support.
