so was that SCCA or NASA or something else? I'm not familiar with NDS for a class?
I've been curious what class the 128i falls into in SCCA rules. i feel like a 128i with sport package and the right rubber would be a pretty worthy opponent out there. |

With the SCCA stock class the 128 is in D-Stock with the 135.
If you stay with performance street tires and keep them under 225mm the car is legal for Street Touring. If you run tires under 265mm, the 128 can be in STX. I'm not sure if it's been classed yet in Street Prepared.

The N was added for running the Novice group this season, I'll be losing the N next season and just be 34 DS... The car is great and I love autocrossing it but there's a mazdaspeed 3 with a driver who knows what he's doing that always has a couple seconds on me. You can't expect to beat everybody your first season out.

Ive also seen a jackass in an R-35 get destroyed by over a second by one of old timers in a Spec Miata. By the close of the season I began to beat a bunch of guys in E46 M3s and even an E92 M3, you know, when I could control the push. Nothing beats the good driver mod. |
