M3 GTS style steering wheel and a couple of other things

Following oN from this initial thread
http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=695002

I finally picked up my steering wheel from http://www.royalsteeringwheels.com/
and I am very much impressed big time, the alcantara match is pretty much spot on, the stitching is oem M tricolour and the feel is perfect, Jack has done a bloody great job and I love the feel and finish, very GTS like......

Before

After

Also had the Hayward & Scott fitted to the N55 midpipes, I wanted to keep the oem style of tips but increase the size, now then, the system still needs to coke up but at idle and low revs it is subtle at present but reading some fo the Z4M guys running a H&S system it takes a few miles to bed in, but under load it really does come alive (Jez can verify his findings), now then, that boom at 70mph/2500rpm, having fitted the N55 mids it didn't totally eradicate the boom but as I found on the autobahn on my way to the ring, it had moved it up the rev range to nigh on 3k and at speeds of greater than 80mph....... Now, it is totally gone, there is no boom/drone what so ever, just a nice subtle tone in the cabin front and rear, so I am guessing that is a plus right there, as for how it drives, the throttle response has improved again and it does feel all more eager in normal none M mode and more spirited in M, so there is some noticeable change all round. The good thing about the H&S system is being custom if I am wanting the system louder/deeper then that is not a problem, they can and will remove baffles as required, so after a few weeks of mileage I will see where I am at and if I decide but the option is there at no extra cost, H&S want you to be happy with the outcome.

And the final, the blackline tail lights (thanks to Andrew selling his 1M )

And a few of the car overall for now.....

Shane that looks stunning! I've been waiting to hear the Hayward and Scott system before deciding on which exhaust to go for. What's it like?

Those photos from above make the car look really wide as well!! Fantastic

The H&S tips make my exhaust tips look like little pea shooters. The size of the tips are perfect, not too big and not too chavy either. The sound of the system when Shane let loose at the bottom of my road was amazing. The quality of the welds and workmanship that has gone into this is the best I've seen.
The steering wheel looks 100 % the stitching is perfect and the colour of the alcantara matches the rest of the interior. Jack retrimmed my Performance steering wheel with the same coloured Alcantara and Kyalami orange stitching. Shane's 1M is starting to look as good as mine now , nearly

10mm front and 5mm rear, the rear centre section of front bumper has now taken a few scrapes on speed bumps etc so wont go any lower, anyways I feel it sits just about right for most road conditions.....

indeed fingers crossed. Didn't get enough of a chance to see your car at MBW @ SS however you've done more mods since then!

So did you just have your original steering wheel re-covered in alcantara rather than getting a new performance wheel?

I think I was only running the forge cooler and braided brake lines back then, ah yeah plus the piano black interior bits and hyper black wheels, so a few changes since then. I was looking at the performance wheel and weighing up the cost with buying then having it recovered in matching alcantara, but I had always hoped to have got a chance to pick up a wheel from a GTS or the CRT which is a non flat bottom wheel covered in alcantara, and then I thoughts the next best thing and more cost affective, just have mine covered, and job done

CRT steering wheel
