Dude that exhaust is friggin aggressive sounding...it's great to hear from the outside but my feedback from eric was it was like having the muffler right over your head...not surprising as this is a hatchback so sounds tend to be more exaggerated

not sure what engine is in there, i did notice it was a 5speed if that's any indication.

Nope they all have a 5 speed gearbox. Do you know the year of production or even if it's the 240hp or 325hp version?

Your right all the Z3M's had a 5-speed. I was thinking about the Z4M.

judging from the rear view mirror, my assumption is s54. unless of course he swapped that out.

I don't think it has anything to do with the rear view mirror. I checked out a few pics on 368s.com and every S52 seem to have the same mirror as S54 or S50-engined cars.

Ouch! That front lip is uuuuuuuugly!

Edit: So is the spoiler!

And why would someone take out the awesome
//M seats and put in Ricaros? Makes no sense
to me. Maybe just because you can?
I mean, the //M seats are way more comfortable.

I guess the reason is that some folks just have to
mod. But the way //M cars are designed and tested
for high performance, it seems to me a waste of money.
And if you have the performance package, what makes
anyone think aftermarket seats, brakes, wheels, tires,
exhaust, etc. is going to make the car perform any
better? It won't. It will just show that someone had
an extra 20 to 50+ grand to throw on the car in big
name mods. If that is what floats your boat, I say go
for it, but my //M will be ordered the way I want it,
and then remain bone stock, whether I had an extra
50 to 100K to spend on mods or not.

This is not meant to offend anyone, it is just my .02 cents.

i was going by this: http://www.bmwmregistry.com/model_faq.php?id=17

however, i believe you are correct. after looking at some pics, they all seem to look the same. at the same time, my friend has a '98 m-coupe, and i thought his rear view mirror looked like a regular bmw one. guess my memory is bad.
