import music via usb
Hi
I have followed the manual and cannot workout how to import the music from a USB and saving into the car. It doesn't seem to recognise the USB port in the glove box & the USB port under the arm rest will only allow playback not import. any suggestions?? jd |

Keeep in mind the glove-usb will not show up under "external devices" but will be accessible if you go from external devidces to the options screen. There you can import/export music.
Give that a try! Ray

I assume you're trying to import .mp3 from a FAT32 formatted USB stick?
I've just spent the weekend uploading tonnes of music onto the wife's HDD in the new 40d and I found that you have to wait a little while (15 secs or so) from when you plug the stick in to when the system recognises it's presence and gives you the import option. Upload via USB is quite quick and a lot faster than ripping from a CD onto the HDD.

Whilst on the topic - does anyone know if it's possible to arrange all the artists in alphabetical order on the HDD Music Collection? Mine are all in the order in which I loaded the music. Thanks.
