Finally Picked up from Performance Center..
Well I must say that the wait was worth it with the Performance Center Delivery.....
Started off the day pretty early in the morning with a 6: wae up call. (Keep in mind I don't start work til 10, so I usually get up at like 9-9:30) Took one of my good friends who just purchased a 04' M3. Drove over to the center and started off on the track. Good way to get you started in the morning. Went through the ABS braking first, which was pretty cool. And then went to the road course, which was amazing!!! Loved driving around that course. Donnuie and Ray are great and everyone there was very welcoming. I did get to drive the DCT on this course which made me re-think my decision of getting a 6spd. (this feeling went away after I took delivery of my car and got to drive a manual) Yes I know the DCT is a bit quicker, but I guess I am old school and like being more connected to my car. (Just my opinion of course) And I am not racing my car, so the difference isn't going to matter. Anyhow, went to the factory tour and got to see the X5 &X6 being built. ( The X6M is beautiful!!!! After the factory tour we got to drive the x5 on the off road course. It was pretty amazing what those cars can do with ease. I have never been one for SUV's, but they were pretty amazing through the course. Lunchtime: Which had some great food After Lunch we went on a hot lap with the drivers there and oh man was it awesome!!! Drifting into corners and damn the M5 is nimle for how big it is. Donnie took us on a good ride with a spin out on the wet skidpad. It was great. Delivery of my car!!! After 2 months of waiting and basically buying the car sight unseen (at least the color and coral red interior) The car is amazing looking and there was a pretty good crowd that was checking it out and saying how much they liked the color combo. Ray went over every detail with my car and answered any questions that I could come up with. Drove home and switched out my grills for matte black ones. (First mod within 3 hours) Rims will be in tomorrow and I should have those mounted up over the weekend. Had to stop at the auto parts store for some cleaning supplies of course. (Used up all my stuff I had from my past Mini Cooper S) Here are a few random pics that I snapped today. Thanks for everyone on this site. Answered a lot of my questions over the past 3-4 months.

Wow, you just made my month long wait even harder! I have almost the exact same car coming for PCD on 8/30. Looks like a blast and congrats!

And, I see you just bought some Breyton GTS-Rs...you are really trying to make my life miserable.
I have 4 GTS-Rs in black w/o the stripe sitting in my garage, waiting for the 135i to come home...

not trying to make your life worse, but I found a good deal on the wheels that I just took the plunge with the wheels. I wanted the Advan RZ's, but a little too much loot for my budget being that I just dropped 15k on the car. Those will have to wait til later.
Performance Center Delivery is the way to go for sure. I would do it in a heartbeat again. Turns out that Ray (one of the instructors) lives right by me in Charlotte. 2 day's 200 miles. That was wih working all day today too. Love the car and cant wait to get past the break-in period.... Once I get the wheels on I will post some pics for sure..
