CTS Intercooler install question
I removed stock intercooler n55 135 easily. CTS intercooler is thicker, by a few inches. How much plastic did you guys have to cut off the plastic behind the front bumper, and or how much of the plastic connected to the electric fan shroud did you trim? Any help would greatly be appreciated.

You shouldn't have to trim the fan, the intercooler hangs beneath it. You will have to hack away at the plastic core support assembly. How much depends on the intercooler, try to install, see where it contacts, and dremel away accordingly. I had to cut up my core support a lot to get my Evolution Racewerks intercooler to fit.

had to trim the lower corners of the fan off on my fmic install, but only because the CXR fmic has a straight on inlet/outlet as opposed to a 45 degree. All trimming is trial and error. remove a little, try to mount it up and mark where it makes contact. Getting it as close to perfect as possible is the idea, better for airflow.
