E90 Stoptech ST-60 on E82

Does anyone know if the Stoptech ST-60 E90 BMW kit (rotors + calipers) will be a direct plug and play bolt-on for the E82?

It seems like they should be but I want to confirm before pulling the trigger.

You can contact Stoptech directly, but I think the only difference is the E90 kit has slightly bigger pistons to account for the higher weight. But check with the manufacturer...

Rear disc won't fit unless you have converted your rear hubs, the 135i rear hubs stick out 10mm more on each side, requiring a different disc.

Yep, just getting the front kit for now. Thanks for the info, chatted with the Stoptech rep and confirmed there is a small difference in front piston size but it's negligible - will do some real world testing and then decide if I need the E82 kit.

Couldn't pass up $1600 for a full front ST60 kit with 2k miles and brand new pads.

You might need spacers and depending on what rotors size you have it might not fit 18inch wheels.

The only thing I can see you having a problem with is the offset of the bracket that the caliper mounts onto. That and the depth of the hat also offsetting the rotor causing the caliper not to line up with the rotor.

They fit perfect, install took like 45 minutes and stopping performance seems fine... Did some 100-0 stops without issue. Didn't do any "scientific" tests between the stock brakes but they will definitely have better thermal properties than stockers on track.

Think I'll be heading to Thunderhill next weekend and will report back

Def need some better pads though if anyone wants some 99% sick ST60 pads lol

sorry I missed this thread. From first hand experience:

E90/92/93 all models
E9X M all models
E82 all models

Front brakes all interchangeable.

Rear brakes not so much

Interestingly enough, someone is selling the same exact kit locally for $1500 as well....

So very tempting since I'm still on OEM pig squealers
