Brake master cylinder cap broken or not?

Hi,

I was wondering anyone can give me any advise.

i am not sure if this is broken or not.

and if this is broken, is the car still safe to drive?

+1. It's not broken. There IS a reason why parts guys are in the parts dept and not the service dept.

If it screws on it has to be a two piece. That wire attached to the cap would not allow it to make enough turns to tighten if it wasn't a two piece.
