Sure sorry for the lack of example , I've done my best with the pic that Nick has given us. The red arrow points to the holes that the 335i have, when undoing there factory intake scoops. The AFE DAS bolt into the same holes, Our cars don't have these holes cause our factory scoops are smaller. Basically we just don't have anything to secure them once they latch on. I've also added the instructions sorry for there size but try to read them if you can, you'll notice the screws I'm talking about. I really hope there's a solution. I hope this helps...

I hope so, Harold at HP Autowerks sent this link to AFE. Hopefully we'll have a solution soon.

Guys,

I wanted to update you on this. It appears there is a design difference between the E82 and E9X models as you know. aFe is working with their engineers on a solution for this product so that it is compatible with the E82 and I will provide an update as soon as they get back to me.

Contact the vendor that you bought it from. If it was us, feel free to IM, email, or contact any of us.

We had a chance to speak with the head engineer over at aFe this past week at the SEMA convention in Las Vegas and they are aware of the problem with the 1 series. It appears the 1 series uses a slightly different mounting system so the scoops will bit, but you need to drill a new hole and screw into the 1 series mounting location.

They are going to work on the design to make it an easier install and actually need a test car near their facility in Corona, CA. If you are interested in helping out, please contact me and I can arrange for you to swing by for a test fit.
