aFe Exhaust with Dyno Results

A couple weeks ago I went out to aFe in Corona to get their air scoops fitted on my 1er, we talked a little and they said they had been talking about coming out with an exhaust for the 135 and he asked if I would be down to let them use my car for the development. Well today I got an email from their project coordinator saying that he got the ok to start development on the exhaust and if I was willing to let them use it for a week. He also said they have loner cars which they would let me use. What do you guys think? Should i go for it??

UPDATE:
i've added dyno results on post #15

yeah for sure... it's not often that you get to drive around and not put miles on your car... chances are you will get some other free stuff too...

Well of course if there is something in it for you and if they say that they will be liable to any damages to your car.. if they do then go for it...

I think they're a company that have the money to spend on research and development, so if they're tackling the exhaust system for the 135, I'm sure they'll do a excellent job.

I think that Afe makes some great products, but their dual cone air intake for the 135i is not one of them... But I would say that you should go for it if their is a good enough incentive for it....

On that note, I voted "DO IT!"

Because of the design, heatsoak a very big problem. Many people that track their car, as well as some daily drivers have had limp modes because of the oven box that Afe designed. Plus a couple people have actually lost power on a dyno with the Afe intake with tunes, which completely defeats the point of getting one...

How long did they say they would have your car? That is awesome I hope you are getting a free exhaust. You should by a set of Down Pipes and have them install them as part of the deal. And get yourself a free set of scoops, but stay away from the intake.

i got their scoops installed already and you're the second person that has told me to stay away from their intake. I was going to ask their project coordinator today about what rcracer_tx said but i forgot:

nope, i haven't even seen the system yet. they where supposed to leave it on so i could give them feedback (they had a single rectangular tip on) but i kind of convinced them that a black dual tip system like our stock and cp-e systems have would sell better so they took it off to do revisions. they're going to put it back on my car after it is done and let me run it for a while, i will post pics of it then.
