I would love these if it's available for the 135 with 255/275 tires.

If anything, these would be a tiny bit lighter than the 43 offset. But just expect right around 20lbs for the rears which is pretty darn light!

Have you guys gotten any more details on this wheel as-of yet? I know you listed some "hopes" in the first post, but have any specs for this wheel been set in stone...?

Some news from the horse's mouth:

This project is a go and can be delivered in 120 days!

The one caveat..... In this economy it's a huge risk for a manufacturer to make a wheel that is SPECIFIC for one make/model of car (1 series). This wheel wouldn't fit on any other car out there except for the 1 series. Do you guys think we could band together and pony up some pre-orders?

+1 - As soon as I get some confirmed #s for size and offsets I'd be willing to commit.

The proposed sizes & offsets available are:

18x8.5 +40 - front, will accomodate up to a 255 wide tire
18x9.5 +57 - rear, will accomodate up to a 275 wide tire and possibly a 285 rear tire depending on the brand.

I'd guess the price will be similar to the ones they've now. ~$1000 a set

Just to confirm, the front wheel DOES rub when the car's lowered and on 255s, correct?

If-so, would a car at stock ride height require fender rolling (again, on 255s) or would it be OK?

I'm most definitely interested in these sizes.

The 17" LTW5 (5 spoke wheel) run ~$1000 a set.

These 18" mesh EmPower wheels' run ~$1300 for the staggered setup. Retail pricing hasn't been released for the 1 series specific wheel but I imagine that it would be within $25 per wheel of the current sizes/offsets.

I's pulling the price off Vorshlag's site, the mesh EmPower LTW Mesh 18" 8.5, 9.5 staggered is selling for $997 for a set. That's the kinda price I'd be interested in. For a 1 series specific no rub, wide tires setup, I'd pay $1100. It's only the rear wheels will be 1series specific, the front isn't.

Check, cash, credit or money order?!

Cash in hand ready to fork it over today if you can have these for me by start of track season! I'm doing the PCA midwinter in three weeks, but I assume it won't be ready by then. :-D

Seriously, I'll prepay in full nqa.

Will 255s rub on stock height or slightly lowered up front?

IMO, the interest would be greater for the LTW5 design with the right offset & no polished lip.

I just ordered a pair of the 17 x 9 LTW5...not a huge fan of the polished lip, but it's the best combination of looks/weight/price.

Oh Hells Yes, I'm in for a set... just one for now... price, looks, etc, works for me...

Lets talk 17s for a bit though... If i can fit a 17" comfortably in the the fenders with the same 245/265 setup (or bigger if possible) i'd be a big fan! Any one have suggestions for size and set up here.

17x8.5 +40ish ? 245/45/17???
17x9.5 +60ish ? 265/40/17???

Buying wheels and tires for this car is alot more complicated than a MINI. I'd like to get some Hoosier-daddys before AX season.

If these come available in the next month i'd prolly get a set to save the hastle of trying to piece something to gether my self.
