Road Hazard
I am a bit confused with road hazard. Why can you not purchase road hazard on a single tire? Is the warranty tied to a s/n on the tire somehow? If you have four identical tires why not just purchase a single RH warranty. The odds of having more then one issue at a time is pretty slim.

Most road hazard companies would see that as a 75% drop in income if you could buy one unit and then claim it for injury to any tire on the car.

ok...so...in the event you drive somewhere and somehow you have protection on just one tire...and you get two flats...then what do you do?

Still doesn't make sense from a tire company's point of view. On cars that have 4 of the same tire how do you sell insurance for a single tire and how does the company know?

I know what you are saying. I was thinking it would make more sense to insure them based on incident as opposed to each tire.
Like insuring each window separately on the car for breakage. |

dude...that was my point. doesn't make sense to go with the logic of just buying insurance on one tire.

Seems like a bit of a scam by the consumer, don't you think?
Buying coverage on only one tire then claiming it's the one that's damaged no matter where it's at on the car? Insuring 4 for the price of one? Wish I could do that with my cars. Just my $.02 Gill

Thats it, blame the consumer. The point is it is flawed. You could buy four tires separately and only put road hazard on one of them. Are their serial numbers to prevent this sort of thing? |

I'm not sure how the various purveyors of RHP battle that flaw. Many tires can have the same DOT number so I don't know how they could police it.
