Its track time for my 135i
Taking my 2011 135i to the Englishtown Raceway for a road course. About 8 hours of classroom and track time with instructors. Will earn my green card for compeditive time races after this course. But really looking to see what this car has without the traction control on. I also have the DCT so looking to go to manual mode and use those paddle shifters! I will write back after sunday and let all of you know how it went!!!

Most instructors will leave the nanny controls ON, and expect you to do the same while you are learning.. With no disrespect, learn how to handle your car FIRST, and then how to drive it fast / faster.. I did my whole first HPDE with the nanny control on and was more than amazed.. after that i just hit the button once, and thats how i run, i have yet to take full nanny controls off during Time trial / HPDE. Highley recommend driving in Sport Mode / Manually... your choice if you want to use paddles or bump the shifter.. If you just leave it in spport mode and let it decide, the tranny will be all over the place, espically on exits of turns.. my .02 maybe others will agree..

I did a few laps with it completely on, then a few laps with one click of the dtc button and spent the rest of my time with it completely off. its actually harder to control the car with the dtc on at all imho. i did a full hpde track day and got a better feel for what the car is going to do with the traction control completely off. Just take it easy with the gas with it off and you will be fine, be smooth with your transitions from brake to gas, be smooth with your steering, turn in once, turn out once, and progressively get faster. The tail is actually pretty hard to slide out if you're lines are good and you're smooth.
