New owner - 135i sport with DCT
Hello,
I picked up a 2013 135i last week. It's the LeMans blue, M Sport package, and it also has the Technology and Premium packages. It also has the DCT, and just 15K miles. It was just over $28K, and for a car that stickered at $47K 2 years ago, I don't think it was a bad deal at all. I'm really liking it so far! It's got a ton of torque and seems to effortlessly get to crazy speeds This car will be my daily, with my last one being a Mazdaspeed 3...great car but the FWD was a little frustrating. My other car is a 2002 S2000 which I drive occasionally and will probably wind up becoming an autocross/track car. I had at first thought I was getting an auto, as I had thought the DCT was M-only (and I guess it is outside of this car and the Z4 at least). I had tried the 6-speed, and it was fun, but I was thinking "this auto ain't bad" and so I wound up getting the DCT I think I'm also just spoiled on manuals, as I (no offense) didn't find the BMW manual to be at the level I've become accustomed to I had tried the 3, too, but I found it to be just...too big. Also tried the xi, and I'm not sure if it was just me, but the AWD seemed to suck the enjoyment out the car...it felt far slower than the RWD version. Picture... |

Welcome! She's barely broken in with only 15k enjoy it. I DD my 135i with DCT. If you're like me you'll start leaving for work a little earlier to take the longer way with back roads.

Very nice and what a find! Looks just like mine. LeMans Blue, black leather with DCT. And your name is Steve as well! You'll be very happy, trust me. Drive it in good health.

Congrats, she's beautiful and you got a good deal. So excellent on the highway at 80 miles an hour. You will love it.

Good price. Enjoy the pleasure of RWD + DSC OFF on your favorite closed course. Sport mode also makes a huge difference with much faster / firmer shifts.

I'm liking the sport mode, definitely.
Is there any difference between sport mode with the button and sport mode by moving the shifter left? The dash says D with the button, but S with the shifter moved. I could swear the shifter-left method is a little more aggressive. Most times I just leave it in regular mode. I can be boring that way. I seem to get about 23mpg. Way more than my Speed3, which always got 19 no matter how I drove it. It also does a little better than my S2000, but that's very short geared and does have a little more power. |

Sport button also remaps the throttle, but only if you leave DSC engaged. On that note, I can't see how anyone would want to drive this car any other way than DSC off. |
