Great results Andrew..

The big question is for us New South Welshman is...
Who can supply the same tune at that cost in Sydney?

Also...any news on the catted DP's arrival and costing?

HI Zuzu,

I have been giving the Sydney guys some consideration and i have come up with something that may or may not interest you.

If you guys can get 5 together and all meet at the same day and same time i will fly up and install for you all on the same day for the same price.

How does that sound?

The catted DP's released early August in USA, then they need to be sent to me for modification, then coating, then release for sale. So I would expect end of August for release here for RHD cars.

I currently have CDV's and polished Oil catch cans in stock ready for sale. The catless DP's will be ready for release at same time in for RHD. Prices will be released then too

Thanks
Andrew

This means less potential for failure and longer lasting turbo. I am sure there are other tunes that are giving bigger numbers (Procede is the first that comes to mind), but I rather go with the conservative tune that still gives me some serious numbers.

Now the the cat is out of the bag, I have to say that I am extremely pleased with this tune. It is giving me some serious torque to the extend that we now have a car that is capable of wheelspinning in the first two gears easily if you want to, and even third gear if you want to be stupid about it. I used to complain that first gear is too long, but it is now just fine. Just awesome! I have driven about 1000km now, with a mixture of very hard driving to regular day to day driving. It's just bang on. I've had 3 other forced induction engine with chip or pulley modifications, and this one takes the cream in terms of transformation from stock.
Thanks Way,

I showed that graph as it is important to me to be as accurate as i can, as Aussie Racer knows well. I did that dyno run on the same day before and after install so i think it would be the most accurate.

The reason i was doing more dyno runs was to see if the power was dropping off after some time, and checking for any sign of boost spikes, so after 1000kms it was good to see a slightly higher number, but i had no need to post it.

With the Intercooler and next round of goodies, we should be able to get more power without sacrificing long term reliability. The current boost is lower than what they are experiencing in USA so we have room improve in the future if we continue that way. I mean after all, its a quick car now. You have more power at the wheels than the old E34 M5's make at the engine!

I will be working on Stage 2 mods next in a kit. I am thinking of selling a Stage 2 Tune kit which i think would consist of AA tune, Pedal module, RR downpipes, CDV.

Stage 3 would be the same as Satge 2 with Intercooler and RR intake.

What do you guys think?

Any feedback, ideas for development, or things you would like to see, please email or PM me, i am always happy to listen.

Hey Way,

I know this is a hard question to answer ( to many variables) but given your experience do you think when you put on some good 255 tyres you will be able to hold the power down with the added grunt of the tune ( Meaning not too much wheels spin in frist and second if you are driving hard?).

After I get a few more klms on my 135 I would look to do a tune but not if I am not going to be able to get any traction.

cheers

LOL

Until not long ago, I always thought "what will I do for a tune on this car if and/or when I get one" ?? for me, tuning a 135i at least a little will be a definite want to do

I thought I'd have to get something from overseas and make do with that, which isn't the best option when requiring fault support etc.

But now we'll have this capability locally and it'll only get better with time = fantastic, so yes I'm 'wrapped'

Probably best to wait until 5 owners are ready and pick the most central position for all.

O k here is some feed back-
That all sounds great. Very logical.
Maybe an exhaust in there somewhere.
Re programing the chip is a mear service fee when up grading from stg1 to stg2 to stg3. Of coarse you would have to buy the other components.
Just some thoughts and you are on the right trak I think.
