Haven't a couple motorsport teams squeezed a little over 310 to the crank out of a N52?

To me that is within the margin. Maybe they also did cams.

Found this:

http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?p=9529112

Apparently, if you do immense amounts of custom work you get 335 crank HP (NA).

He said HP indicating 255whp - Full 9.9mm lift, Custom intake manifold, race exhaust manifold (IE no emissions equipment) and full standalone Ecu.

Not shabby and spot on my estimates.

Edit - scrolled further down - if we estimate 15% drivetrain loss for these cars (230bhp X .15 = 195) then 335BHP would be approximately 284whp. Awesome.

Gotta love the .75. With rounding rules that brings it up to 285!

But, not too much relevance to street engines.

The intake manifold and Motec no - but head work and race header...maybe. Depends on how deep yoru pockets are.

"Race header" just means low/mid range compromised for high end gains. Not a budget constraint so much as making a (street) car worse.

In his situation, I'm sure it means catless headers. Especially considering the car is on stock cams and stock head.

Then it's not a race header.

I have a euro version 125i coupe
Tomorrow I'll probably have my file from evolve and the header from supersprint. Along with the performance intake.
I'll do the promised video and a hp test soon enough.

Just like Myself, and Stig and yourself. It's extremely common to damage o2 sensors during the install, i suspect i damaged mine when trying to wiggle out the stock headers with the o2's still attached.

Also, do a quadruple check to make sure you don't have mixed up o2's. Bank 1 is black wire sheath, bank 2 is grey wire sheath. It's fairly difficult to mix up the primary and secondary o2's thankfully.

I'm just going to put in new ones when I do my wife's car. They're a wear item anyway, at <100,000 mile intervals (BMW says to do them at 100,000, and we know how they are with maintenance), and she'll be close enough by then.

Thank you for the info! Very important indeed. Well Evolve asked me to do 100 miles without the file. After 50 miles it gave me two errors from the kats. Witch I think it's perfectly normal. Not having the converters... Now with the file the errors are clean. So far.
The installation was done by BMW dealer, so let's hope they did a good job
