Arctic at night-Delray Beach 01-01-06

Here are a few shots I took tonight at Delray Beach. I set the ISO lower to 50.

How do you that light thing? Where it leaves the trail of light? I'm guessing you use a SLR camera, but can you do that with a Point & Shoot? Damn, now I want to take some photography classes.

It's not an SLR, it's just a P&S Canon SD500. To get the "light thing", you use a shutter speed and take a picture of something while a car is passing by. The light is from the car's headlights and brakelights.

Lol, it was pitch black out when I took those pictures. They were taken around 11 pm - midnight. I use the shutter to absorb the light from streetlights to make the car light up.

That third pic is my favorite. Looks like you got the European clear corner headlights.

Your pics and a3ndy's pics in pg. 4 of the official titianium silver thread are the ones I go back to routinely to remind myself of how awesome the M3 sedan will be.

Looking forward to the next shoot.

Thanks, yeah I noticed the appearance of clear corners in a few of the shots...really odd lol.

Notice that in the shots with the streetlight giving off an amber glow it gives the impression that the orange sides of the lights are actually clear/silver? I want clear corners now!!!

Nice photos, btw

no one commented on the house so let me just say that--this house is badass!

you can't see how cool it is though...the house is on stilts with a swimming pool under it..really cool.

oh i wish for either. It's just a nice house that I happened to park in front of. The opposite side of the street where I am parked is public parking with meters and the ocean is right behind the bushes. You'd be able to see it in some shots if it weren't so dark.

There is a whole lot of parking at Delrady Beach, plus the pictures were taken at midnight so there weren't many people out. Everyone left about that time because everything was closing.
