E85 in bc?

Any stations offer e85? Ive never happened to pay enough attention. I fill with chevron and I don't ever recall seeing it. Considering going to a 94/e85 blend.

Thanks

BC boy also.

Not trying to completely ignore your question but, I was told by a BMW mechanic to ONLY use Shell and Esso fuel. There's 0% ethanol added to their fuel saving you money in the long run(carbon deposits). He also mentioned 91 is all you'll ever want to use.
Was your question based on the price?

I find it hard to believe the mechanic would not include Chevron in that comment for BC.....

Garage List
Chevron > Shell > Esso...in that order.

Steve Dinan's recommendation is either Chevron or Shell only...period.

No ethanol at all.

no E85 here in Vancouver. The nearest is a shell in Washington. 1401 172nd St., NE, Marysville, WA . it is in lakewood area close to I5.
That is what I use for track days. Almost fill with Chevron 94, here in Van it has no alcohol, and 1 gallon of E85. I tried double that mixture and the car did NOT like it.
When I go to Wash and Oregon tracks I take down 2 jugs of Chevron 94 as all Washington has alcohol in their gas, and fill them with e85 on the way home.
Yes it works. The car is noticeablly cooler running on the track. And Map 5 on JB4 will tune to the fuel. Yes LOTS more fun.
If you do not mind paying the money instead of going down, you can get a gallon of stove ethanol at Steveston Marine, "Captain Phab's marine alcohol" $16ish a gallon

You can believe whatever you want, but that's the content of the chat I had with my friendly neighborhood BMW wrench turner.

0 ethanol in chevron 94. Told by both Parkshore and Victoria BMW to use chevron, as well as every other enthusiast I've happened to talk to. Plus, chevrons minimum rating is 94 octane, unlike other stations that offer a maximum octane of 91-92.

No need to get defensive; I was merely pointing out that most car fans use/prefer Chevron in BC, and that the local BMW dealer here recommends it (as well as any Top Tier gas).

When I lived in Van, a couple of BMW technicians claimed it has 'too aggresive a detergent content' to recommend. I presume this is noted when a fuel test or ethanol test is conducted on whatever is in the tank at the time...

I worked at a couple of stores out East and the Master tech's there had a pref to 'Shell only' - although that's been in a bullitin by BMW Canada themselves....apparently!

Although this debate seems to reign on & on, so - enjoy whatever you use guys n' gals

We are able to ship drums of E85 to pretty much anywhere in Canada at this point. BC and Alberta shipping is very reasonable. info@arcadestation.ca if you are interested.
