ANOTHER Armrest Issue...

My car was delivered on 5/12/10. I had the "squeaky" armrest issue and had it taken care of. HOWEVER, this armrest STILL bounces up and over harsh roads.
It's VERY annoying. Wasn't there a Velcro fix or something for this ?

what did they do for your squeak issue? i didn't know they could fix this...

I have a 2010 135i that developed a squeaky armrest about 800 miles (PCD Jan 26, 2010). Spraying 1Z einszett Cockpit Premium into the hinges in the rear has taken care of that issue for me. FWIW, "squeaky armrest" has a couple of separate threads here.

Apparently there IS a bulletin about this. I believe all BMW requires is lubrication of certain parts.

The arm rests on the doors will also squeek!

damn that sucks... my car has been squeak free for almost 13k miles. probably it just needs some lubricant though.

I got the same problem since I'm going for a service tomorrow should have the dealer check it out see if there are any problems.

I also want to stop the bouncing. I believe someone, somewhere mentioned a velcro insert ?

My car was delivered May 4th here in Germany (so in theory its newer) and my center armrest squeaked since day one, so I see they don't quality check them at all. But I only hear it when all my windows are up and the music is turned down. It doesnt really bother me much, but I do notice it.

The door arm rests don't squeak at all though.
